Adventures in India

What an amazing time we had in Manipur India...!
I'm still reflecting on our time there, and what God has to say about it all. I am so thankful for the grace we experienced in our transition there, and our transition back. We were gone for 10 days (such a short time) but it was a total of 5 days of travel to get there! 36.5 hours each way!

Our team built an Aquaponics system, and ministered in churches and schools. The Aquaponics system is a sustainable way to grow plants along side fish (which enrich the water with nutrients that the plants love). The water cycles between the fish and plants, and is an efficient way to use very little water to grow food. Check out The Urban Farming Guys to learn more about our systems. The rest of our team spent time visiting schools and churches, and sharing our stories about how our relationship with a loving Father has changed our lives. It was such an amazing time of new experiences, and seeing God to amazing things in the hearts of people around us. Personally, I've had my doubts about the effectiveness (long term) of doing short-term 'missions' trips, but now I understand the benefit. It's definitely effective in an apostolic-prophetic ministry, but my perspective when having judged short-term trips was mostly from a relational-pastoral perspective. Given the nature of our trip, and the area that we went, I understand the strategy of short-term missions a lot better.
More later!

For now, some pics!

Above: Performing a rap song in sign language, which the kids LOVED.

Above: These are some of the orphans at Patsoi where we built the Aquaponics system.

Above: Candy, Me and Faith with the amazing Mutum family (cousins, siblings, friends) who live at Patsoi and love on the orphans.

That's it for now... More on our upcoming adventures soon!
